Special trout fishing trips we offer include lodge-based vacations, Alaska float trips, and a variety of Alaska fly-out adventures. Each experience offers a very unique way to access great native trout fishing, but also enjoy wildlife viewing opportunities, great photography ops and a picturesque float plane ride with vast mountain, forest, glacier and river views. Our trout fishing adventures are a great way to bundle your Alaska adventure wish list into one inclusive vacation. These fishing adventures also offer great fishing for Arctic Grayling.
Trout fishing at our Alaska fishing lodge is excellent throughout the summer with the very best trout fishing occurring during the first half of June and mid-August through early September. If you are looking specifically to bundle great trout fishing along with peak salmon fishing, we highly recommend your plan a lodge-based package during the months of June, July or August. Another great option for a trout/grayling/salmon combination would be one of our float trips from late June through early August. After the peak of the salmon runs, ending in late August, trout fishing just gets better and better. During late August into September almost all rainbow trout in Lake Creek migrate to the lower 5 miles and congregate to feed heavily on the last Smörgåsbord before winter sets in. Spawning chum salmon, salmon flesh, a variety of insects, sculpins, etc. provide ample food sources for hungry rainbows. Fishing for trout at this point of the summer is awesome! Enjoy the spoils of our full service Alaska river fishing lodge and experience the best trout fishing of the summer by visiting us during one of our two deluxe Alaska "trout camps." Trout camps are offered at a special rate, but include everything that our normal season packages offer and more! Please Inquire regarding our trout camp availability and corresponding rates for late August and early September.
Our remote Alaska fishing float trips are 5 day / 5 night all-inclusive rafting expedition. Our floats are fully guided and outfitted. Float the 60 mile length of Lake Creek and experience world class rainbow trout and arctic grayling fishing in the upper 20 miles of the river. Depending on when you plan your float trip, salmon fishing is quite good as well with Kings in June through early July, and sockeye, chum, pink and silver salmon in mid-July through mid-August. An Alaska float trip is a great option if you wish to combine outstanding fishing with a true remote wilderness experience. Please view our Alaska fishing trip packages for current float trip rates.
