Our fishing lodge and adventure packages originate and terminate in Anchorage, Alaska. Most of our guests will be spending at least a day in the city with at least some time to kill. Our Anchorage web page is a good guide to dining, lodging and sight-seeing.
Our lodge guest orientation will walk you through the daily schedule at Wilderness Place Lodge in addition to providing 'need to know' information prior to your arrival here. This is a mandatory pre-trip read for all guests.
Weather in Alaska is something to be considered before embarking your Alaskan adventure. There are some general temperature and precipitation trends from month to month in our region, but you should plan for variable and unpredictable weather. Also, view our packing list for gear to combat the elements.
Rust's Flying Service is our primary float plane service for all guests travelling to and from Wilderness Place Lodge and Anchorage. Through Rust's we can also set up some great flight-seeing and bear-viewing trips for you if interested. It is good to familiarize yourself with their operation before your stay with us.
If you are primarily planning a fishing package during your time in Alaska, there is good amount of information to gather. Our Alaska fishing resources page is a great source of pertinent planning information.
Our frequently asked questions page covers a wide array of frequently discussed trip planning topics.
Review our lodge trip policies and booking information including trip payments, cancellations and travel insurance.
Ourpre-trip guest questionnaire should be filled out by each individual guest prior to visiting our lodge. The questionnaire gives us pertinent information to plan for your dietary limitations and awareness to any special needs or requests. It also allows us to set aside waders, rods/reels and other fishing gear per your request.
Visit our Adventure side-trips and add-ons if your group is interested in adding on any unique adventure activities to your existing itinerary. Most of these side trips we are able to reserve fairly spontaneously, but it is advised booking in advance to guarantee availability.
