Wilderness Place Lodge is a remote fly-in wilderness and fishing lodge off the road system in south central Alaska. Our remote lodge is located on a completely remote clear-water river system. We fly by float plane approximately 70 miles Northwest from Anchorage towards Denali National Park. The 45 minute flight covers a vast array of untampered wetlands, rivers, dense forests and lakes. Our river valley is an incredible spectacle of what remains of a dynamic glacial past. Enjoy epic views of Mt. Denali (McKinley) on your flight as you gaze to the north horizon on clear days. Our remote river runs 60 miles north to south with it's source being Chelatna Lake on the southern border of Denali Park. Our fishing lodge is located just upstream from the confluence of the clear-water river mouth where it meets the glacial Yentna River. Our river valley is heavily forested and surrounded by the Alaska mountain range to the West and North. Aside from great river fishing, there is excellent fishing in nearby lake chains. We also offer fly-out float trips for those booking our adventure packages in advance. Also, as part of select adventures, we include mountain flight-seeing adventures and cool outpost cabin overnights. Our lodge offers big adventure and quality service with an easy, convenient flight from Anchorage.
