When we first entered the industry, the typical Alaska fishing trip looked much different than it does today. Most guests were groups of lifelong friends planning their annual fishing getaway. The focus was simple: catch fish, tell stories, and enjoy time together in a remote wilderness setting.
Evenings at the lodge were filled with card games, laughter, fishing tales, and conversations about the one that got away. It was an era defined by traditional fishing adventures and the camaraderie that came with them.
Today, the landscape of Alaska tourism has evolved dramatically.
